Better welfare, better beef
Making sure our cattle are healthy and content is central to how we farm. We believe stress has a direct impact on the quality of beef, which is why we work hard to keep their environment as calm, natural, and consistent as possible.
Our cattle are pasture raised, without heavy meal, and spend the vast majority of their lives outdoors. Only a small fraction are housed during winter and our aim is to reduce that to zero wherever conditions allow. We make every effort to keep cattle in stable groups, understanding the detrimental effects that separation can have on their wellbeing.
Our commitment to quality extends beyond welfare to full traceability. All of our beef comes from 100% Pedigree Irish Moiled cattle, with each animal’s lineage recorded back to at least their great-grandparents — and often further.
To ensure transparency and accountability, every animal is registered with the Irish Moiled Cattle Society, guaranteeing the authenticity and heritage of our beef. We are also members of the Farm Quality Assurance Scheme, which certifies that we farm using safe and responsible methods.
